Synbiosys was founded in 2017 by three postgraduate alumni from Imperial College London to develop a brand new phase change armour material technology, Syntech. This radical material could not be modelled or optimised through conventional methods. As a startup with limited resources, we needed to build a framework and software tools to systemise and guide the characterisation, modelling and, crucially, the validation of this material.

Thus, the Validation Platform was born.​

We quickly realised the power behind our creation, and how it can transform the speed in global adoption of all advanced materials and manufacturing methods.

We now leverage our fundamental knowledge in materials science, AI and machine learning, data science and manufacturing to bring Industry 4.0 to the present.

 

We are a tight-knit and immensely talented team of scientists and engineers that have experience in taking technologies from back-of-the-envelope concepts all the way to commercialisation. We incorporate triple-helix expertise in industry, government and academia, and cumulatively incorporate decades of experience in working and collaborating with small industry, large industry and government departments.
